Good morning to a gray and rainy Friday! We are facing the aftermath of  another mass shooting in California. Twelve people were killed in a night club where many college kids enjoyed each others company. A 28 year old former Marine killed them with a handgun. Our country has become the nation of denial. So many are absolutely unwilling to give up their guns so that others might be safe in a nation that could be great if only common sense gun laws were put in place. Of course the argument for mental health is also a part of this issue. Both issues might be discussed if we had a government that truly wanted the best for their people. Denial is the nation we live in.

I have read the controversy about hunting the grizzly bear in our western states. My question is why? Hundreds of people have been involved in saving the grizzly bear from extinxtion for the last 40 years or more. Why now that they are bearly treading water would we want to kill them.  What is wrong with the people in this nation that has such a desire to kill things that are only trying to live an existence with saftey and shelter for their off spring and enough food to eat. Learning the habits of the wildlife in your area should enable you to live with them peacefully. Could we all just make that little bit of effort?  The photo of the bear is one of Tom Mangleson’s a well know wildlife photographer. If you want to shoot a grizzley bear, please use your camera!  Our bears are bearly treading water.

This is the first day of my blog. Of course there will be the learning curve.:) I have decided to create a blog to share thoughts and things I learn along lifes road. There have been many up to this point but I believe, for now I will stick to those things that I learn from this day forward. I also hope to use this space to review books I have read and would like to share! Hope to share some photographer as well, since I love taking photos. These are some of the photos from our trip last year, to Charleston and Savannah. The history there is incredible!
